What’s Happening NEXT at Just One After-School Programs This October?
Get ready—October is going to be spook-tacular at Just One! We spend September gearing up, and getting ready for the kids to dive headfirst into Halloween-themed projects that all lead up to our Annual Youth-Run Haunted House.
October 1st–17th (Mon–Fri, 3–6 PM)
For youth ages 10 and older
The month kicks off with nonstop Halloween fun:

Spooky Crafts & Haunted House Décor – kids bring their creativity to life.

Hands-On Projects – designing, building, and crafting creepy creations.

Teamwork & Leadership – guided by our amazing staff, interns, and volunteers.
This is their chance to explore ideas, work together, and make something unforgettable.
⚠️ Due to space limitations, our program is open to youth ages 10+. Younger kiddos may join us for certain outdoor activities or field trips when possible—but the core program is reserved for 10+. Thank you for understanding!
October 20st–23th
For youth ages 13 and older
The countdown begins! These four days are dedicated to haunted house setup. Youth 13+ will transform our facility into a full-blown spooky maze—tarp walls, eerie props, jump scares, and more. With limited space, only this age group can participate during set-up week.
October 24th–25th
For all youth ages and open to the public. We ask if under 8 years old please have an adult or older sibling be present.

3–6 PM: Final rehearsals & last touches.

6–9 PM: 🎉 The Haunted House is OPEN!
Come see the incredible work of our youth as they run their own haunted house—scaring, entertaining, and raising support for future Just One programs.
What’s Next after?
Once our after-school program wraps up on Saturday, October 25th, we’ll be shifting gears and getting ready for our November Project in a Bag!
