Thrifting with Purpose – Gobel Thrift Store Adventure!
From the shelves of Gobel Thrift Store to hands-on life lessons—this is more than just a shopping trip.! Budgeting and smart shopping can be just as fun as any field trip—so we’re taking youth on an adventure to Gobel Thrift Store, where they’ll get hands-on experience spending wisely, making smart choices, and even discovering hidden treasures.
Youth will explore the store with a small budget and a big imagination—learning how to stretch their dollars, compare prices, and make thoughtful purchases. Whether it’s clothing, books, or cool finds, they’ll walk away with more than just items—they’ll gain confidence and real-world skills they can carry forward.
Youth will meet at Glass Park and take the city bus south to Gobel Thrift Store, located at 919 E Trent Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
What to Do Next:

Make sure you’re registered for summer programs

Drop-off is at 12 PM

Pick-up is at 3 PM

Please note: If your youth is not at Glass Park by 12:30 PM, we will have to leave without them. If running late, you’re welcome to meet us directly at the field trip location.

Back-Up Plan:
If weather prevents us from going out, youth will still have fun! We’ll offer indoor activities or our well-loved “Projects in a Bag.”
What is “Projects in a Bag”?
All youth registered for Just One’s Summer Programs will be added to our delivery list for “Projects in a Bag”—a bag filled with creative projects and instructions to enjoy at home. It’s similar to what we provided during COVID-19 and continues to be a hit!
Bags will be dropped off on your porch, even if you’re not home. Delivery times vary, as staff plan routes and make evening deliveries after packing bags that morning.

99207, 99205, 99202, 99201 and parts of 99217
Unfortunately, we’re unable to deliver outside these areas—but don’t worry!
We’ll have bags available in our van for pickup at the next event day if you’re outside the delivery zone.
