SUMMARY:2026 Winter Soundbath Healing
DESCRIPTION:Sound baths are back!\nIn previous years\, Just One has brought positivity and relaxation to our community through sound vibration healing. We invite you to join our upcoming sound baths in January and February led by local Indigenous woman\, Drea Rose. \nWhat is a sound bath?\nA sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are ‘bathed’ in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources\, including healing instruments\, such as gongs\, singing bowls\, percussion\, flutes\, chimes\, rattles\, tuning forks\, and even the human voice itself. \nA sound bath is typically a way of managing anxiety\, soothing the nervous system\, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body. \nWhat to expect\nWe will meet in our community space and have the heat on. There will be water and snacks available. \nThen\, we’ll get comfortable – either sitting or lying down\, eyes closed or open\, whatever makes you as comfortable as possible. If sitting on the floor poses challenges for you\, we will have chairs available. \nDrea will start with a smudge blessing and an ice breaker exercise to release stressful energy out and create space to bring in positive energy through sound. \nBefore you leave\, we will ask you to reflect on how you are feeling after the sound bath. \nThis class is suitable for all levels of experience. \nWhat to bring\nFor this experience\, you are welcome to bring any item you may have that brings you comfort – a crystal\, yoga mat\, stuffed animal\, blanket – whatever brings you joy and makes you comfortable. We will provide a few yoga mats\, but please feel free to bring your own. \nWhen\nWednesdays\, January and February 2026 (more details below) \nPrivate Party Sound baths (For you and your selected guests only)\nFirst three Wednesdays of January and February \n\nStarting 1/7/26 – 2/18/26\n\n1-hour sessions available at: 2:00 PM\, 3:30 PM\, 5:00 PM \n\nWe can host you and up to 7 of your favorite people (8 participants total)\, so bring your family and/or friends\nNo age restrictions\nLimited to one session per day to allow others to enjoy this activity\n\nOpen-to-the public Sound baths\n4th Wednesdays of the month (1/28/26 and 2/25/26) \n\n1-hr sessions starting at 2:00 pm and another at 5:00 pm\nAge restriction\n\nKids under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult\, who can participate too!\n\n\nWe can host up to 8 participants per group of this open to the public sound bath\nLimited to one session per day to allow others to enjoy this activity\nThis is an open-to-all\, meaning that registration is open to the public. There may be people already you know in attendance\, and also new people\n\nCancellation and No-Show Policy\nTo avoid a penalty\, you must cancel 48 hours before start time. DESCRIPTION:Just One After-School Programs Are OPEN for October!\nWe’re back and ready for an unforgettable month of Halloween fun at Just One! October is packed with creativity\, teamwork\, and spooky surprises as we build up to our Annual Youth-Run Haunted House. \n\n🗓 October 1st–17th (Mon–Fri\, 3–6 PM)\nFor youth ages 10 and older \nThe program is in full swing! Each day kids will: \n\n\nCreate spooky crafts & haunted house décor \n\n\nDive into hands-on projects that spark imagination \n\n\nWork with our awesome staff\, interns\, and volunteers \n\n\n⚠️ Reminder: Space is limited\, so programming is reserved for ages 10+. Younger kids may get included in outdoor activities or field trips when possible\, but the after-school program is for 10+ only.\n\nOctober 20th–23th\nFor youth ages 13 and older \nTime to roll up our sleeves! Youth 13+ will be transforming our space into a haunted maze—with props\, tarps\, and plenty of chills. Space is especially tight during setup\, so this week is limited to 13+. \n\n🗓 October 24th–25th\nThe Big Weekend! \n\n\n3–6 PM: Final rehearsals & haunted house practice (ages 10+\, under must be with a chaperone) \n\n\n6–9 PM: Haunted House is OPEN to the public! \n\n\nJoin us for two spooky nights as youth run the haunted house they’ve been building all month. It’s scary\, fun\, and completely youth-led! \n\nWhat’s Next After October?\nAfter the haunted house closes on Saturday\, October 25th\, we’ll get ready for our November Project in a Bag—a special one-day event with delived-home kits for families. \nRegistration opens in early November\, and if you already have a Parent Account\, you’ll be the first to get notified when it goes live. \n\nHow to Join\n\n\nAlready have a Parent Account? We are delighted to announce the return of our FREE Christmas Program\, where we’ll be providing brand-new and gently cared-for gifts for youth!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs you consider registering for our free Christmas event\, we want to emphasize that “Just One” was specifically designed to bring joy to families facing day-to-day challenges. Our program is dedicated to supporting at-risk youth\, aiming to make life brighter for those navigating difficult circumstances.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNOTE: All our Just One members with a “parent account” or those who have reached out to us for services will receive priority consideration for this event. This information not only helps us understand your specific needs but also enables us to explore potential collaborations with different organizations that may support your family’s unique circumstances and desires.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n      4. Notification and Pick-Up: \n\n\n\nPlease remember\, this is a pick-up only event due to the number of requests.\nSelected participants will receive emails/texts between Dec. 11th and 15th\, giving the details for pick up between December 21st and 22nd.\n\n\n\n      5. Stay Connected  \n\n\n\nAct swiftly\, as applications will be open Tuesday Dec 5th and will close once capacity is reached.\nKeep an eye on your email and text messages!
